October 2006

Premier Division

Hailey

A number of teams have performed consistently well over the month, notably Carterton, Charlbury Town and Freeland but the only team to have a 100% record is Hailey. They had 2 good wins in the cup and 2 impressive wins in the league. They have scored plenty of goals and are starting to look potential title hopefuls.

Division One

Minster Lovell

A tight call again with 3 teams in contention.  Bampton Town and Carterton Reserves were both unbeaten in league and cup during the month. However, the award will go to Minster Lovell. They had a great month winning 3 times and drawing once to take them to 2nd place in the table. In the process they scored 16 goals with the impressive Nathan Harris scoring 10 of them.

Division Two

Brize Norton Reserves

A number of teams have put in impressive performances during the month.  Carterton A, Tackley, Combe and Freeland Reserves have all done well. But again Brize Norton Reserves and Spartan Rangers Reserves have both been the model of consistency winning all 4 of their games. We will give this month's award to Brize Norton Reserves who have scored 20 goals in the 3 league games as well as scoring 6 in the Jack Busby Cup.

Division Three

FC Chequers

Two teams have maintained a 100% record during the month - Division leaders Ducklington A and 2nd placed FC Chequers.  Of the 2 sides FC Chequers have probably had the harder month beating a Lord Jersey/Banbury League Premier Division side in the Junior Shield and 3 other sides from the top half of the table. In view of this FC Chequers just take the award.
